Confluence Collective Oxford
As Musicians you need to present a portfolio that emanates quality and professionalism to overcome the harsh competition within the music industry. Creating an attractive well presented and targeted press kit which contains pictures of the full band and head shots of the individuals, action shots of you with your instrument but also documenting the audience, will validate your image and increase your credibility.
A well designed musician portfolio can be available electronically, added to your website or onto an electronic medium such as a CD or DVD ready to be easily shared online. You will also need a series of pictures for printed promotional purposes. Quality will undeniably increase your chances of success..
We will assist you with representing the image you wish to convey and with formatting the pictures, from SoundCloud all the way through to full resolution RAW shots suitable for printed promotional material.
If you would like to organise a photoshoot, with specific portfolio goals, book a session to create publicity shots for your whole band or simply discuss acquiring licenses for pictures you may already have spotted on Facebook use the contact form on this site or send a private message to AElise Photography - Anne-Elise Hansen on Facebook
If you are Psytrance DJ or producer check our dedicated collection page on this site.
"Confluence Collective is inspired by the musical traditions of Oxford's richly diverse communities. Its unique and constantly expanding repertoire blends music from Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America. Confluence Collective has no boundaries. Its musicians will transport you from Portugal to the Punjab, from Spain to Senegal, from Iran to India, in fact to anywhere in the world."
Oxford based Music Collective with all events and workshops are free to attend - Although Confluence has a core group and performs on a regular basis we also operate as a music collective, always welcoming new musicians to join in, try out new songs... It certainly is a lot of fun! Once a month Confluence Collective opens its pop-up cafe – an open space where anyone can come along to play, practice, perform, share new material or just sit and listen. The emphasis is on diversity of musical traditions, which is Confluence Collective's speciality, not to mention an astonishing array of instruments from around the world. Lots of different styles, too (sometimes within the same song!). Search for our Confluence Cafe & performance space events on Facebook or on the Oxford Daily Information Web site!
